i remembere when i was small
the pastor would call
on peace,
"the peace that surpasses all understanding"-
"the Lord be gracious unto you
and let His face shine upon you
and give you peace"
.......a rather personal conception of the Lord
well some of those prayers
had a surprizing potency.......
peace that surpasses the rational world
and the personal face of God,
not anthropomorphically speaking
but you know, gorgeous and blue and eternally young.......
that Face.
